You Make Me, Blush!
Many businesses were closed today Monday in observance of “Whit Monday”, a holiday celebrated the day after Pentecost, a moveable feast in the Christian calendar.
Lucky enough, a quaint little eatery called Blush Café, that I have heard about pretty much since the day I landed here, was open today, and I was finally able to make time to check out the delicious, modern take dishes — today a blueberry lemon loaf and more classic ham & cheese quiche slice — in a place that was most accurately described as “highly Instagrammable.”
Had a great time, enjoying the lovely vibe, the upbeat, “smoothed out” R&B music, and the effervescent enthusiasm of the staff.
I promise it will not be nearly 7 months before I return — especially to try lemon & almond polenta that is most definitely right up my alley, culinarily speaking.
