A Christmas Dinner Gift at QP Bistro
I was fortunate to have a new friend, Diane, through my continued stay here in Barbados who enjoys a exceptional dining experience as much as I do, and for the second time in 2022 she treated me to one such glorious meal at the newly opened (revamped) QP Bistro up an the West Coast of the island.
Yes, a stunning decor that offers pristine ocean views is matched in enjoyment my the friendly staff and attentive service (and wonderful live music) — even before the meal starts.
The Christmas lunch menu listed a bevy of delicious-sounding and appetizing dishes. The starters we chose were a mixed meats antipasta plate and a shrimp salad, which we followed with an ample pork loin dish and a spicy seafood tagliatelle.
After enjoy not just the excellent dishes but their ample portions — requiring both of us to gladly take home what we couldn’t finish — we sweetened our palates with a perfectly executed rum creme brulée for her and classic angel sponge cake with berries for me.
Regardless of the occasion of Christmas this particular day, a meal at QP Bistro on any other day would still feel nearly as celebratory. It is a worthy and rewarding splurge and spoiling of self experience.
