I HAD TO UNFORTUNATELY RING in the new year completely tuckered out. I fell victim to this gawd-awful stomach flew going into the very busy holiday season, but still had to suffer through double shifts of holiday parties at the restaurant where I work, getting clients caught up with the end-of-year celebrations and marketing, not sleeping, or resting, or stopping to even take a few hours for myself to recover. I (re-)acquired a stomach ulcer that for several days forced me into a dietary routine of just juices and soups to feed me while surfing through my Hulu queue.
And once I was able to adventurous attempt solid foods again, I decided that I would roll those dice at local Luke's Lobster and eagerly try their new Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Generously dotted with chunks of fresh Maine lobster, lovingly cradled in nutty, aromatic Gruyere cheese and sandwiched between two slices of crispy, buttered toast.
I was enjoying this loving handle so much that I further risked gastric injury by adding a spot or two of sriracha sauce (didn't know sriracha was so popular in Maine...!) for courageous dipping.
Although the sandwich barely needed it, the sriracha was appreciated if only for it being that "little bit extra" that had been missing from meals for over a week. And since this lobster grilled cheese is only available for the winter, I had to plan many returns to Luke's before it goes missing from its menu.
