...Fresh turkey was sliced thin, letting more air into each bite, which helped supply more of its flavor. Crispy pieces of porky, salty proscuitto accented the white meat turkey, nicely mellowed by the slightly sharp, cheesy sauce. Perfectly sunny-side up eggs oozed warm and silky over the whole yummy goodness, held up quite nicely by the sturdy Texas toast underneath and robust tomatoes. Ham, eggs, and cheese. ...I couldn't even believe the size of the sandwich. Not one or two filets, but six, maybe eight? I lost count. Each one, crackly crispy-skinned on the outside, beautifully seasoned, wrapping some nicely firm and flaky white fish, clean with flavor. Soft bread assists each chew and swallow while creamy tartar sauce bright with finally chopped pickles added the appropriate amount of spark for my tongue's enjoyment.... [Full post]
...The chicken had "cracklin'" good skin and was minimally seasoned, letting the the flavor of the chicken shine through, its meat tender and juicy. A nice flaky exterior, an aromatic, airy interior, the biscuit tasted great in its own bitefuls or coupled with a pull of the fried chicken. The mac 'n' cheese, drizzled with hot sauce, was creamy smooth, cheesy without that extra "sharpness", and its pasta maintaining an almost perfect al dente firmness.... [Full post]
